Subject Matter Expert: Valerie Rivers, BSN, RN
Valerie Rivers has been a registered nurse for 6 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Colorado Technical University. She began her career working as a med-surg nurse on the orthopedic/surgical unit. She worked as charge nurse and later transferred to the cardiovascular intensive care unit. Valerie now works as a case manager and hyperbaric chamber operator at a local wound care center. Valerie was named as National Healthcare Hero in 2021.

Amy is an SME/writer with the revenue cycle and coding team at Relias.
