Conducting Individual Activities

In long-term care facilities, activities are an important part of daily life for the residents. Group and individual activities provide an opportunity for residents to stay active, experience reduced boredom and depression, feel a sense of well-being, maintain skill levels, and interact with other residents. This course discusses the basic activity regulatory guidelines for nursing facilities. It also discusses the different types of individual activities and who can provide them to older adults. Without activities for the older adults you care for, there will be a decrease in their quality of life and functioning.

The goal of this course is to educate general staff in long-term care facilities on conducting individual activities
