Learning Objectives:
Identify the Inform USA Standards about disaster preparedness and response.
Understand the stages of a disaster
Discuss the disaster database and how this database impacts the work of an I&R program before, during, and after disasters
Review the types of changes in the I&R service provision that may happen after a disaster impacts a community.
Discover the impacts of a disaster on I&R staff and how to respond to those impacts.

Instructor: Sandra Ray, CRS

Sandra Ray is the Program Director for Inform USA (formerly known as AIRS - the Alliance for Information and Referral Systems). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Psychology. She has worked in the Information and Referral Field since 1996. She joined the Inform USA staff in March 2023 and oversees curriculum development for the organization.

Target Audience:
The target audience for this course is: Service Coordination Personnel; Specialty Department Personnel; in the following settings: Behavioral Health: Community Services.
