Identify factors that affect a healthcare provider’s ability to provide culturally sensitive care.
Become familiar with the CLAS Standards for healthcare providers.

Subject Matter Expert: Stephanie Betancur, RN BSN

Stephanie Betancur is a primary care registered nurse in the UNC-CH Campus Health Services. She is a 4th year doctoral student and research assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill school of nursing. She earned a bachelor of arts in Spanish language and cultures and political science at the Appalachian State University. She also has a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Stephanie is a member of the 6th cohort of the Hillman Scholars Program in Nursing Innovation.
 

Writer: Monica Caicedo Orellana, MS, RN, OCN

Monica Caicedo Orellana, MS, RN, OCN, is an SME writer for Relias with over 20 years of acute care experience in nursing.
