Pamela Green is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist. She has devoted over fifteen years to helping children and families within vulnerable populations heal from and overcome the many obstacles they face. Pam also has extensive experience in Crisis Intervention as she was an Intensive Family Intervention Team Leader for five years and spent several years working with a Domestic Violence Intervention Program as an advocate and a therapist to help survivors heal from their traumatic experiences, navigate legal systems, and access much-needed resources to change their lives for the better. Pam also provided clinical direction and supervision as zone leader for a 10-county, community mental health agency for several years. In addition, she has experience in work rehabilitation for people with disabilities across a range of ages and disability types.
Writer: Amanda Gayle, Ph.D
Amanda Gayle received her PhD. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Georgia in the Counseling and Testing Center. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in the Occupational Health Department working in both the internal and external employee assistance programs. She is licensed in North Carolina, where she was in private practice for 15 years, serving primarily adults in individual and couples counseling with many presenting issues. Her focus was on cognitive behavioral therapy to treat anxiety, mood disorders, grief, relationship difficulties, stress management, self-esteem, and parenting. She joined Relias as a subject matter expert writer for behavioral health in 2021.

Dr. Nancy Kellogg is a Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of the Child Abuse Division at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has worked in the child maltreatment field for more than 35 years and has authored over 130 publications. Dr. Kellogg has been an invited speaker more than 200 times at local, regional, national, and international conferences. She has received numerous awards for teaching, clinical excellence, and humanism.
